Photos special to Fargo Monthly
We spoil our pup way too much and if you’re like us, you’re always looking for a unique gift. Well, here are a couple of local options that will definitely keep your dog’s tail wagging.
Custom Pet Illustrations
Looking for a truly unique pet present? Local illustrator McCal Joy will do custom illustrations of your pet. This is also a great present for a friend or a good way to memorialize a pet that has passed away. Pet sketches start at $70 and include free shipping.
Riley Rogers and his wife Mary all hand roll, cut and bake each one of their Brew Chewz, a fun and unique dog treat. They use spent grains from local breweries and add organic ingredients to ensure a healthy and fun snack for your pup.
Waterproof Tangle-Free Double Dog Leash
If you have more than one dog, you know how tough going for a walk can be. Well, with this dual dog leash that’s guaranteed not to tangle will make walking a breeze.
Local e-commerce company DogIDs has been featured on “Good Morning America,” NPR and other media outlets and carries hundreds of different products.
Off Leash Collars
Kaydi Grunhovd, the founder of Off Leash collar, business motto is “life’s too short to wear a boring collar.” She proves this with her unique handmade collars that are made of fabric/nylon and have the option of personalized embroidery and bow tie or flower accessories that add flare. She will also have a booth at the Fargo Street Fair.
Newman The Painting Dog
Newman is a 5 year old rescue dog with a unique talent. He loves to paint. Kaydi Grunhovd, the founder of Off Leash Collars, taught him to paint with specially adapted paint brushes that he holds in his mouth. Like any artist, he has favorite brushes and his mood determines what his painting will look like. You can find him on Etsy and follow him on Instagram at @newmansoriginals, and you can see him in person at the Fargo Street Fair at the Off Leash Collars booth.
