After spending January bundled up indoors, relaxing after the hecticness of the holidays, it’s time to cut loose and take advantage of all the things to do in the community next month. Here are the top Fargo events in February, and no, it’s not all about Valentine’s Day.

USHRA MONSTER JAM

February 2-3
The new season will bring motorsport fans to the edge of their seats with adrenaline-charged, high-flying, four-wheel excitement that is fun for the entire family. Featuring the eight most intense athletes of Monster Jam, Fargo fans will witness a fierce battle for the championship with each competitor using customized high-powered vehicles: Monster Jam Speedsters, Monster Jam ATVs and the famous Monster Jam trucks. Tickets are $15-$65.

60th ANNUAL KIWANIS PANCAKE KARNIVAL

Friday, February 2 at 7 p.m. & 3 at 3 p.m.
Enjoy the largest pancake feed in town with inflatable games and free parking at the Fargodome. It’s estimated to have raised around $53,000 in net profit. This profit is $2,000 more than last year’s event! The net profit goes to our foundation, which will distribute the funds to the local community through grants to non-profits and scholarships to high school and college students.

THE TRUE STORY OF THE THREE LITTLE PIGS

A musical delight for all ages, this pork-filled tale finally puts the Big Bad Wolf on trial for the destruction and dismay he caused to not one, not two, but three poor little pigs. But is the Wolf actually guilty, or can he shake off familiar accusations and convince an audience of skeptics that he is actually a friend to swine and not their foe? A sensory-friendly production is only at 2:30 p.m.

THE EROTIC ART SHOW OPENING PARTY

Saturday, February 10 at 7 p.m.
The Red Raven Espresso Parlor hosts their annual Erotic Art Show. They’ll be featuring a multitude of local artists and their erotic art throughout the month of February. A rousing opening party features live music from the duo So Sad, mouthwatering desserts, a special drink menu and a raffle of assorted prizes with 100 percent of the proceeds being donated to the local branch of Planned Parenthood. This is a free event and open to all ages.

AVENGED SEVENFOLD WITH BREAKING BENJAMIN & BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE

FARGO GO RED FOR WOMEN LUNCHEON

Thursday, February 15 from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
Hundreds of Fargo-area heart and stroke survivors, physicians, and business and community leaders will join the American Heart Association to celebrate Heart Month and the Go Red For Women movement at the Go Red For Women Luncheon. Tickets can be purchased online.

February 23 from 3-8 p.m. & 24 from 10 a.m.-6 p.m
Explore Lake Life Expo” is not just another boat show, it’s showcasing lake life and what the area has to offer. A group of exclusive vendors in the field or industry meets with all visitors to share the passion for their lake life. Tickets are $5 per adult or $10 per family. Free admission with Home & Garden Show ticket. Tickets can be purchased at the door the days of the event.

RED RIVER VALLEY HOME & GARDEN SHOW

February 23 from 3-9 p.m., 24 from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. & 25 from 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
The 57th Annual Home & Garden Show is celebrating its 26th year at the Fargodome. The typical show draws in between 8,000 – 9,000 prospects from as far as Bismarck, the Twin Cities and northeastern Minnesota. This unique event showcases not only diverse products and services available in today’s building industry, but it puts consumers in contact with professionals in the field, a non-existent feature of online shopping. Regular admission is $10. Check details online for the discounts available. Children 18 and younger are free. Parking is $5.
