Wyalusing State Park

Located in the southwest corner of Wisconsin, Wyalusing State Park is a haven for those looking for an outdoor adventure. The park is nestled right along the Mississippi River and crossing over the river will take you to Pike’s Peak State Park in Iowa. With 2,700-acres to roam, Wyalusing offers canoe rental, camping, hiking trails and more.

Perrot State Park

Located just outside of La Crosse, Wisconsin is Perrot Lake State Park. It offers a unique glimpse of the Mississippi River as it is more narrow than what we are traditionally used to seeing. However, Perrot (pronounced Pear-oh) has some of the most challenging trail walks in the state. The payoff is that glorious view of the Mississippi.

Devil’s Lake State Park

Devil’s Lake State Park is Wisconsin’s largest park at roughly 9,200 acres. The highlight is the 500-foot quartzite bluffs that might be reminiscent of something you would see in the southwest. Devil’s Lake State Park has hiking, camping, lakeshore fun and more.
