The below-freezing temperatures and chilling winds didn’t keep the community from dressing up in their best green wear, gathering in Downtown Fargo and continuing the city’s St. Patrick’s Day traditions. Since 1996, there has been a parade on the Saturday before St. Patrick’s Day in Downtown Fargo, and this year was no different. Attendees sported shamrocks, collected candy, listened to bag pipes, danced to music from the floats and had fun while celebrating the luck of the Irish. The parade followed the St. Patrick’s Day Fun Run, where runners braved the cold and showed off their green attire up Broadway and along the beautiful Red River. Check out some of the photos our photographer Paul Flessland captured of the St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Fun Run.
