Did you know that there are several pet-friendly events happening in Fargo-Moorhead throughout this summer? Check out this list and get ready to show up and have some fun with both your pet and other people’s pets (and other people, too, I suppose).

Read to a Dog

Spend some time practicing reading with friendly dogs. The event will have trainers that will remain with dogs at all times. Several dogs will be at the library during this time.

This half-mile fun walk and pet party is to support the shelter pets of Homeward Animal Shelter. It will feature music, games, food and more.

Food Services Annual Company Golf Tournament 

During Food Services of America’s annual company golf tournament, Diamond in the Ruff Pet Rescue will have games set up at each of the par 5s with adoptable pets. Fifty percent of all proceeds from all the games will go to to the pet rescue.

Doggy Dip

Bring your dog out for lots of water fun and swimming. Admission is $3.50 per dog and proceeds benefit the Moorhead Dog Park. Dogs should have a collar, ID tags, be properly licensed, vaccinated, and in good health to swim.

Adopt-A-Pet fundraiser

Join Courts Plus for the annual Adopt-A-Pet fundraiser. The 1.5 miles walk, with or without your pet, will benefit Adopt-A-Pet of Fargo-Moorhead. Their primary goal is placing rescued pets in loving and responsible homes. Donation includes t-shirt, gift bag, walk, door prizes, picnic and Pepsi products.

Annual Silent Auction, Raffle and Dinner

Did you know? Fargo has an exotic pet expo! On Saturday, October 6, exotic pet enthusiasts will gather at the Hartl Ag Building in the Red River Valley Fairgrounds for the annual Fargo Exotic Pets Expo. Started in 2013, the event has grown into the leading vendor based show for exotic reef, reptile and exotic pet hobbies. This year will feature speakers and vendors from all around the country.
