Our Staff Picks Part Two

Photos By Hillary Ehlen

To commemorate the year 2019, we decided to shake things up a bit. Rather than taking a trip down memory lane, we wanted to recognize all of our great staff here at Spotlight! Without them, you would not be reading this magazine right now. So, get to know our staff and find out their favorite places in Fargo-Moorhead. Find out our staff picks now!

His Pick! Hi-Ho Burgers & Brews

Why? “Hamburgers good! Fries good! Shakes good! What’s not to like? Always a consistently great experience with my friends and family.”

Check it out! Hi-Ho Burgers And Brews | 3051 25th St S # L, Fargo

His Pick! Drekker Brewhalla

Why? “Fargo has no shortage of unique buildings, and Drekker hit the jackpot with their Brewhalla location. Indoors or out, you can’t go wrong. With an ever-revolving list of delicious beers, awesome pinball options provided by Fargo Pinball, and visits from Fargo’s best food trucks, Drekker never fails to provide a memorable experience.”

Check it out! Drekker Brewhalla | 1666 1st Ave N, Fargo

Jay Borland, Controller

His Pick! Wurst Bier Hall

Why? They always have a great beer selection, something for everyone, and the best spaetzle in town!

Tommy Uhlir, Digital Marketing Specialist

His Pick! Bobba’s Bagels

Why? There’s no better way to kick off a relaxing Sunday than a Boppa’s breakfast. Great food. Better people.

Paul Hoefer, Senior Account Strategist

His Pick! Wild Bill’s

Why? I like going there on Saturdays, with or without my kids. They do relatively cheap Bingo, have great food and drink specials during it and makes it something fun to do with just friends or with the entire family! Kid-friendly spots that are fun for everyone isn’t that easy to find all the time. Great way to spend time together! My daughter Gracie has won two times at Bingo. It’s great to see the reaction when there is a win at the table!!

Alexandra Martin, Design & Living Editor and Fargo Monthly Co-Editor

Her Pick! YoungBlood

Why? There’s just something about the sun beaming in on the wood tables and white walls that makes this place feel warm and comfortable. If you know me, you know that I am at YoungBlood most days of the week (I often take a long lunch break and work from here -shhh). The in-house roasted coffee and the wonderful staff really make this place my second home.
