Mixologist Of The Month: David A. Joergensen, VFW West Fargo

Photos by Josiah Kopp

How long have you been bartending?

5 years.

If you won the lottery, what would be the first thing you purchase?

I would probably make a trip to New York City to visit Grant Achatz’s bar, “The Aviary,” as well as “Death and Co.”

Do you have any phobias?

Heights. I also don’t particularly like wasps.

What can you be found doing when you’re not working?

If it’s a sunny day, I really enjoy reading down by the Red River. I also love to stop by Baker Garden & Gift to find new herbs and plants.

Do you have a hidden talent, if so what is it?

Well, I do speak Norwegian fluently, I like to think that counts.

Worst pickup line you have ever heard?

“Would you like to bartend back at my place?” Just… no. It doesn’t work that way.

If you could have any superhero power, what power would you have and why?

Perhaps being able to fly. I think it could cure my fear of heights.

If you could only see one more concert in your life, who would it be and why?

Freddie Mercury. One of the greatest singers there ever was.
