About Mission Mechanical
What started as a small group of tradesmen looking to give the Fargo-Moorhead area a new, large commercial/industrial mechanical company quickly turned into a premier contracting business with a team of nearly 80 employees. Using the knowledge the owners learned in the field, their goal was to create a sanctuary for plumbing and HVAC tradesmen where they could learn and grow. After seven years in business, Mission Mechanical is proud to have cultivated strong bonds with industry leaders and customers alike, bringing the community top-tier services including HVAC, plumbing and hydronics installation and service, custom sheet-metal fabrication and temperature controls/building automation.
Mission Mechanical has become so in demand that they’ve expanded to another location in Alexandria, MN, allowing them to service a larger region north, south, east and west of the Fargo-Moorhead area—from Grand Forks, ND to Watertown, SD and from Jamestown, ND to St. Cloud, MN. It’s all in their name—the team is on a mission to change the way that mechanical contracting services are provided in our region

1. What is it like to start working at your company?
A new employee will find an inviting atmosphere in the field and office. We lean heavily on a team-orientated approach. We offer several options for training including apprenticeship classes, specialty courses and licensing in both plumbing and HVAC. Our office staff are able to take educational courses or attend seminars they feel would benefit them and their work.
2. What makes your company a great place to work?
At Mission, the atmosphere in the halls and job sites are often filled with laughter and occasional dog barks, as we are dog friendly in our office space. We are genuine people who want to see you succeed not just at work, but also in life. Our company parties and outings give us a chance to connect with good times and good friends.

3. What are you working on next for your culture?
With the amount of growth Mission Mechanical has sustained in the seven years we have been in business, we have found that culture is crucial to a happy work environment. During each quarterly meeting, we update the field employees on current and future workload for Mission Mechanical. Our future plans include putting out bi-annual company newsletters that will keep all of our customers and employees up to date on what happens at Mission Mechanical.
4. What are some unique benefits you offer?
Mission Mechanical offers sign-on bonuses for tradesmen as well as other exceptional benefits. Our benefits include health, ancillary, PTO, 401(k) to all full-time employees and trucks for our foremen. We provide our employees with tools and tablets in the field and ergonomics in the office. If you are looking to go into the trades, we offer higher education reimbursement for young adults. We believe that sharing meals brings people together so our owners cook an early breakfast once a month for our guys in the field.
