Looking for something to do in Fargo-Moorhead this weekend? Fargo Monthly has got you covered with our FM Weekend Forecast! Here are a few events, live music performances and drink specials you don’t want to miss:

Friday, Dec. 28:

Pound and a Pint at Fargo Brewing Company: 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.

Join Fargo Brewing Company for POUND and a PINT! Get a great cardio drumming-inspired workout, then enjoy a pint of delicious beer (or soft drink). Whether you are in it for fitness or for holiday stress relief, it is a great time for everyone! Bring a yoga mat or old blanket/quilt for your drum kit, a water bottle, and a towel. Cost is $15 cash at the door.

 

NDSU Women’s Basketball: 5 p.m. and NDSU Men’s Basketball: 8 p.m.

It’s a double-header! Watch the NDSU Women’s Basketball team take on Purdue Fort Wayne at 5 p.m., with a sock giveaway to the first fans. Then at 8 p.m., watch the NDSU Men’s Basketball take on South Dakota, with a snowglobe giveaway to the first fans.

Just a few blocks away from The SHAC, Labby’s Grill and Bar is offering some awesome drink specials! From 3-7 p.m. get $2.95 premium well drinks, domestic taps and bottled beer, and $1 off domestic bottled beer & premium well drinks from 9 p.m.-close.

Saturday, Dec. 29:

Early New Year’s Party at Pub West: 9 p.m. – 1 a.m.

Grab your friends and get ready to dance 2018 away early with this party! Enjoy Jessie James Entertainment from 9 p.m. – 1 a.m. and there’s a free champagne toast at midnight. We’ll cheers to that.

 

Holiday Lights at Lindenwood Park: 5:30 p.m. – 10 p.m.

The Holiday Lights at Lindenwood are almost over! Grab a hot chocolate or coffee, turn on some festive holiday music, and enjoy the light displays from dozens of local businesses. A perfect outing for families and date nights.

Make your Saturday night complete: stop by Rhombus Guys for dinner and enjoy $4 craft beer pints and 2-for-1 wells starting at 9 p.m.

Sunday, Dec. 30:

JT Kenelly Band at Dempsey’s: 10 p.m. – 1:30 a.m.

JT Kennelly Band is an upcoming band with experienced musicians playing from the heart, blending folksy bluegrass with a modern twist. Bonus? There’s free poker and happy hour prices from 4-7 p.m., and employee prices for everyone from 7 p.m.-close.

Monday, Dec. 31 (New Years Eve):

Zoo Year’s Eve at The Red River Zoo: 1 p.m. – 5 p.m.

Ring in the New Year at the Zoo! This family-friendly New Year’s celebration includes fun activities, animal encounters and a “countdown to the new year” every hour. Celebrations and animals? Sounds like a great way to celebrate 2019!

NYE at Mezzaluna: 5 p.m. – 12 a.m.

Make NYE a night that you and your tastebuds will remember! Mezzaluna’s regular menu has been put away and replaced with an amazing 4-course menu with options that include pan-seared scallops, pink peppercorn crusted filet mignon, and strawberry shortcake. (Vegetarian or vegan? Don’t worry, there are options for you too!)

Hot Tip: The bar will be open to walk-in’s all night, but make your reservations for the meal in advance. 

NYE at Junkyard Brewing: 4 p.m. – 1 a.m.

Junkyard has extended their hours on New Year’s Eve to fit in even more fun! Come for some special beer releases (TBA) and stay for the lineup of “Best of the Worst Music Videos” that will sure to keep you rockin’ and laughing all night. Oh, and did we mention there’s a “keg drop” at midnight? This is a can’t miss event for beer lovers.
