The life and work of choreographer, director, and dancer Eddie Gasper will be honored on Saturday, November 7, at a cocktail reception and tribute performance at NDSU’s Festival Concert Hall.

The evening will begin with the Eddie Gasper Legacy Cocktail Reception from5:00pm – 7:00pm. This event includes appetizers, drinks, live jazz music, an artistic talk, and time with the alumni performers from decades past and present. Tickets to the cocktail reception are $50 per person and may be purchased at http://fmballet.org/rsvp All proceeds benefit the Eddie Gasper Legacy Fund, designed to make the arts accessible to everyone in the community.

Immediately following the reception is a one-night only performance of Legacy: The Eddie Gasper Dance Tribute. The Tribute performance features choreography by the late Eddie Gasper (1929 – 2015), restaged by his son Matthew Gasper and alumni dancer Patrick Kasper, including a new piece choreographed by Matthew that pays tribute to his father and his signature style. Tickets for the Legacy dance performance may be purchased through the NDSU Box Office. Featured performers include Matthew Gasper, Patrick Kasper, Gasper’s School of Dance, FM Ballet, and Gasper alumni dancers & students.
