Help-Portrait is about giving photos, not taking them. These portraits aren’t for a portfolio, website, or sale. It’s about giving people who otherwise couldn’t afford photography, a chance to capture a memory.
Help-Portrait’s mission is to empower photographers, editors, and organizers to use their skills, tools and expertise to give back to their local community.
On December 5th and 6th, our volunteers will offer people in the community a chance to get their photo taken for free by a professional photographer to have as a keepsake, to use in holiday cards or gifts, or to use as a professional headshot because we know that while professional photography can be expensive (and rightfully so!), everyone should have a really good photo of themselves and/or their families. So photographers are generously offering up their time and talents to make this a reality for many who wouldn’t otherwise have the opportunity.
When/Where:
December 5th 12p-4p at Churches United for the Homeless at 1901 1st Ave N in Moorhead
December 6th 12p-4p at Twenty Below Coffee Co. at 14 Roberts St. in downtown Fargo
