This year’s symposium will explore the political, environmental, cultural, economic and security implications of China’s rise. Various questions will be addressed in regards to China’s cultural traditions and its impact on global order. A staged reading of “Chinglish” by David Henry Hwang will take place in conjunction with the symposium and is directed by Dr. David Wintersteen at 7 p.m. on the 22nd in the Comstock Theatre.
