Baritone saxophone and flute artist Denis DiBlasio takes the Glasrud Auditorium stage in Weld Hall. He will be backed by the MSUM Jazz Ensemble, directed by Tom Strait, professor of music at MSUM.

DiBlasio directs the jazz program at Rowan University in New Jersey. He is also the Executive Director of The Maynard Ferguson Institute of Jazz at Rowan. With nine recordings of his own, along with published texts, arrangements, and compositions, DiBlasio is known throughout the world as a performer and educator. For five years, he worked with Maynard Ferguson, also touring on his own during that time. He continues to travel around the world performing and teaching.

DiBlasio will also lead a clinic on jazz improvisation the same day at noon in Fox Recital Hall in the Roland Dille Center for the Arts on the MSUM campus. The clinic is free and open to the public.
