Fargo production company Prairie Airwaves has announced a special holiday edition of the popular live variety program “Dakota Air” to be performed in Fargo, ND, at the historic Fargo Theatre at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 29, 2015. Musicians and actors will join “Dakota Air: The 2nd Annual 1st Christmas Show After Thanksgiving,” a family-fun show to help kick off the holiday season. The live performance will be recorded for later broadcast on Prairie Public’s statewide radio network. 

Merrill Piepkorn, executive producer and host, points out that Christmas-themed “Dakota Air” programs have been performed in Fargo and across the state for a number of years, this is the second year in a row that the show will be presented at the Fargo Theatre right on the heels of Thanksgiving.

“The Sunday after Thanksgiving is perfect for a family outing to extend the holiday spirit directly into the Christmas season,” Piepkorn said. “With your ‘black Friday’ shopping done, you can relax and enjoy great music and good comedy for all ages.”

Special musical guests Sam Miltich and the Clearwater Hot Club will provide holiday music gypsy-swing style. Other guests include Jacky Arness-Miss North Dakota 2014, the “Dakota Airheads Acting Company” featuring Steve Poitras, Doug Hamilton and Vicki Melchior, and dancers from the Camria Ballet.

Advance tickets are $21 general reserved and $27.50 for VIP tickets that include premium seating and a special souvenir “Dakota Air” Christmas ornament.  Tickets can be purchased through Tickets300: By phone at (866) 300-8300, online at Tickets300.com, or in person at 300 Broadway, Fargo (MondayFriday, 11 a.m.6 p.m.). Tickets at the door will be $25 general reserved and $30 VIP (if available). Ticketing fees apply to all sales.
