Come to the Plains Art Museum for the opening of their new exhibit, Bakken Boom! This exhibit provides a striking array of artistic interpretations of North Dakota’s current oil rush, which has catapulted the state to second in the nation in oil production. Curated by Becky Dunhamhe, the show gives insight to the new realities in western North Dakota and the profound impact of the energy boom on lives and the land. Featuring documentary photos, film, sculpture, printmaking, paintings, and installations, the show will be on display through August 15, 2015.

The opening will feature light hors d’oeuvres and cash bar.
