Nathan Enderle is passionate about cycling. While the practice is a great way to remain in peak physical condition, it can also become taxing on the body. With a wife and three daughters, Enderle has successfully found a way to fulfill his love for cycling while balancing family life. Not to mention his all-encompassing work as E-Commerce Analytics & Marketing Lead at SCHEELS.

Cycling can take its toll on the body as can any physically-taxing exercise or sport. For Enderle, who has been cycling for years, recovery is key to wellness. Not only does his body need to recover, but he must also mentally recover to tackles fatherhood and his daily work.

“Recovery is a way for me to reset my body, being able to hit that play button again in the morning,” Enderle said. “Being able to workout hard, recover and do it all over again the next day without soreness or pain is something that can make or break a training plan.”

Much of that recovery is done thanks to Theragun which can pinpoint any areas of intense soreness for Enderle. He recommends it for anyone who may need assistance in recovering their body from exercise or a long day at the office. “For me, I use the Theragun as stimulation. Waking up at 4 a.m. and using it as a way to get my body ready for the workout is a great way to make sure my body is in peak condition before I hit the road,” he said. “I also love to come home from work and if I have any stubborn areas where I feel soreness coming on I can work those out so I wake up feeling soreness free.”

“What I enjoy most about having my three girls is the time with them. My 7-year-old loves working out with me. For me it’s time working out and being a dad, and for her it’s time with daddy. My dreams have definitely changed, but If I can still achieve my dreams and inspire my kids, it’s the best feeling in the world.”

Recovery is a vital tool to fitness success and accomplishing goals. For Enderle, his goals revolve around his family. He uses cycling and exercise as a great bonding tool for him and his three daughters. While his fitness goals may have changed over time, his primary goal is to inspire and have a positive impact on his daughters.

“What I enjoy most about having my 3 girls is the time with them. My 7 year old loves working out with me. For me it’s time working out and being a dad, and for her it’s time with daddy,” he said. “My dreams have definitely changed, but If I can still achieve my dreams and inspire my kids, it’s the best feeling in the world.”

Obstacles will present themselves in your health and fitness journey. Heck, challenges arise every day in life. In Enderle’s mind, it is those challenges and curveballs that allow you to grow in life.

“Life’s challenges are given to you for ways to improve and overcome,” he said.
