Alexandre Cyusa came to the FM area in the fall of 2010 to attend Concordia College. Originally from Kigali, Rwanda, Cyusa has lived in Switzerland, Ethiopia, Guinea and France. His traveling experiences have helped him in making this world a smaller and simpler place to live in. He currently works for Folkways and is interested in community development and nurturing global citizenship.
Pasteur is a Teaching Artist at the Plains Art Museum in Fargo. A native of Rwanda, he is an artist, writer, community leader and a comprehensive thinker. Pasteur is constantly thinking about how we can experience the world around us. He is a visionary, thinker in action and a doer of all, and he is always a team player. Along with Alex Cyusa and Nisa Rajput, Pasteur will be writing the Think Global, Act Local column.
Seifert is a Minnesota native who spent a stint in Bozeman, Mont., and San Diego, Calif., before coming back to the midwest to grow her dream business as a health and lifestyle coach. She is a certified personal trainer, certified nutrition and lifestyle coach and runs her own health coaching business.
Mike Allmendinger is the general manager of the Kilbourne Group, a company that strives to be a catalyst of inspiration and action for vibrant downtown communities by redeveloping and creating infill projects in Downtown Fargo.

C. J. English is a Fargo native and the author of the Amazon Kindle Best Selling Weight Loss book, “WTF am I Supposed to Eat?” She can be found locally at Rejuv Medical Aesthetic Clinic, where she offers private coaching for weight loss and wellness. English’s breakout memoir “AFFAIRYTALE,” debuted at No. 1 on Amazon Kindle in Diaries and Journals in 2015.
Taylor Markel is a fashion expert who’s always surrounding herself with the changes in the retail and fashion industry. That is why she will be bringing her “Life Writes Fashion” columns from a personal blog to Fargo Monthly. Taylor will be showcasing new retail stores and trends in Fargo fashion each month inside the pages of Fargo Monthly. Outside of writing, Taylor is the Lead Sales Manager at Express in the West Acres Mall.
In Africa there is proverb that says: “If you educate a man: you educate an individual. But if you educate a woman: you educate a nation Nisa Rajput epitomizes the latter sentence,” says Alex Cyusa. Nisa is a native of Harare, Zimbabwe, and is a graduate of Mayville State University. She also holds an MBA from the University of Mary in Bismarck. Currently, she works as a Talent Specialist for ProSource LLC. in Fargo. She shares the Think Global, Act Local column with Alex Cyusa and Pasteur Mudende.
