Christkindlmarkt
Folkways is back with their magical Christkindlmarkt — four days of festive cheer featuring the Outdoor Winter Wonderland, Gift Market, and Bier Hall at the Fargo Civic Center. With food, live musical performances, art demonstrations, holiday treats, and activities for the kids, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Tree Lighting at Broadway Square
Fargo’s version of New York City’s Rockefeller Plaza comes to life as the Fargo Park District lights the 32-foot-tall Christmas tree at Broadway Square for the season.

PLAID Friday& Small Business Saturday
Plaid Friday celebrates the diversity and creativity of local, independent businesses. It’s a fun and laid-back alternative to your typical Black Friday; holiday shopping without the big-box madness! (Top tip: wearing plaid not only shows your support for small businesses, but also can unlock discounts!) The fun doesn’t stop there, though. The #ShopSmall surge continues on Saturday for another day of supporting your local.

Experience the magic of winter at Broadway Square! Snap your picture at the holiday photo stations, skate on the SCHEELS Skating Rink, play holiday-themed games and more! This is a free, outdoor Fargo Park District event.

2021 Xcel Energy Holiday Lights Parade
The annual kick-off to the Holidays in Downtown Fargo is the Holiday Lights Parade presented by the Downtown Community Partnership and sponsored by Xcel Energy. This parade includes dozens of participants that decorate their entries with lights and music.

Have Yourself a Funky Little Xmas
In collaboration with Jade Presents, Post Traumatic Funk Syndrome (Fargo’s hottest classic rock, horn band) will be rocking the Sanctuary Events Center with their take on some of the most-loved holiday tunes.
