5 Things To Eat And Drink In July

Photos By Hillary Ehlen

Welcome to July, Fargo! We got the drinks and eats for you to attack as summer rolls along.

Bún Ch Giò Tht Nướng
Don’t let the big name threaten you, folks. At Pho D’Licious, you can simply refer to this dish as “E1” and they’ll know what you mean. Beginning with vermicelli noodles, this plate also offers grilled pork, herbs, pickled carrots and some of the best eggrolls you’ll ever have.

Slow Ride Spiked Sangria
This is unlike any sangria you have had before. Either red or white sangria is paired with Casa Noble Crystal Blanco tequila, simple syrup, lime juice, orange juice and pineapple juice. If you think it sounds like a good patio drink, you’re right.

Walleye Sandwich
A walleye sandwich can be done so many different ways. A chef can either make it simple or complex. At Red Hen, they go for simplicity and knock it out of the park. A perfect fried walleye with lettuce, tomatoes and a homemade tartar sauce elevate this catch to the flavor stratosphere. Our advice: get the waffle fries with it.

Zurn Margarita
Inside their new space in Moorhead, something special is brewing at Usher’s House. This includes a revamped cocktail menu featuring this tasty number. It begins with blueberry and raspberry infused Espolon Tequila and is finished with fresh lime juice, grapefruit oil syrup, Cointreau liqueur and blueberries and lime. We can confirm that it’s pretty damn good.

Green Enchilada Special
La Unica is the most unassuming restaurant in our area. Stashed away in Moorhead’s industrial area, they are serving up authentic Mexican cuisine every day for lunch. While we got the green enchilada special, their lunch special changes every day. Watch for their special on their Facebook page. Here’s a tip, call in your order, because La Unica sells out fast!
